Dandeli is a town in Chhattisgarh, India. It is located on the banks of Mahanadi River, about 137 km from Raipur and 50 km from Ambikapur. Dandeli has been known as the 'queen of hill stations' due to its beautiful natural environment and rich culture. The town has two lakes, one named after King Bhanuvardhan who founded the town.

The Dussehra Festival (also known as Dussera) falls on October 2nd every year and is celebrated with great pomp and show by people from all over India who come to see this spectacular event take place. This festival commemorates Rama’s victory over Ravana after he kidnapped Sita after having defeated him at Kishkinda (Rama’s kingdom).

Adventure Sports Events In Dandeli
Adventure Sports Festival - This event is held every year and it also includes various adventure sports. These include kayaking, rafting, white water rafting and rock climbing among others. The festival will last for five days starting with a welcome ceremony on the first day followed by an opening ceremony on fourth day which is also known as "Vijay Diwas". On fifth day there will be an awards ceremony where prizes will be given away to participants who have participated in this festival throughout its duration.
Jungle Rock Climbing Festival - This event is organized by Shri Gangadhar Kamath Memorial Trust & Ashwin Foundation Trust under their umbrella organization named “Kamath Family” which works towards conservation of wildlife resources through education & awareness drives amongst rural communities living around Cauvery River Basin region in southern India viz., Tamil Nadu state capital city Chennai etc…
Dandeli is a popular destination for music festivals and concerts. Local promoters organize many events in Dandeli, including the annual Rock Fest, which takes place every year on April 30th. The festival was started by local music lovers who wanted to bring together the best bands from all over India. This event features live performances by local bands as well as international artists like Guns N' Roses and Metallica!
The organizers also organize other festivals throughout the year such as The Jingle Festival on December 24th through 26th or Music Night On Friday evenings at 7pm where people can come enjoy some great food while listening to live acts play covers songs from their favorite artists!

The Annual Safari Festival, which takes place on 21st January every year.
The Bison Fair from 4th to 15th March, which involves hunting bison with spears and arrows.
The Annual Elephant Elephants are seen in large numbers during the months of April and May when they come out to graze on grasslands during their mating season.
