The Kohima Festival is a cultural festival held in Kohima, Nagaland. The festival is held annually to celebrate the culture of Nagaland and it also showcases various art forms like drama, dance and music. The annual festival brings together people from all walks of life who come together to celebrate their heritage and culture through various activities such as sports competitions, films screenings etc., at Kohima Stadium which has been renovated recently by Government of Assam for this purpose.
The Kohima Festival was started in 1972 by then Chief Minister Donkupar Roy who wanted to promote unity among people living in different parts of North Eastern India through cultural events like dances etc., but unfortunately there are no reports about whether this has really happened or not because we don't know if it's still active today?
World Bandy Day is a day to celebrate the sport of bandy in India and Kohima. It is celebrated every year on 7th February 2019 with great enthusiasm by local people and youth groups. This event is organized by Sports Authority of India (SAI) under Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India and Indian Railways along with other partners such as Ministry of Culture Tourism & Civil Aviation, Ministry Finance Department etc. The main aim behind organizing this event is to promote this sport among youths so that they become more active while having fun playing it on streets or parks across various cities throughout India including Kohima which will be held at Sivsagar stadium on 7th February 2019 during World Bandy Day celebrations’s opening ceremony which starts at 2:00 pm onwards till 4:30 pm followed by various activities like dancing competitions etc., sports events like badminton singles competition played between two teams consisting maximum ten players each representing respective states/UTs competing against each other under categories like men's singles women's singles mixed doubles men's doubles women's doubles mixed teams men's teams women's teams mixed teams
Melpa Kachari International Music Festival
The Melpa Kachari International Music Festival is held in Melpa, Nagaland. The festival is organized by the Melpa Ladies Society which works for social welfare and empowerment of women. The first edition of this festival was held from 29th March to 12th April 2011 at Shillong with participation from several countries including India, Japan, Korea and Myanmar. This year's edition will be held between 30th May - 7th June 2012 at various locations in Kohima district including Diphu town where you can find many cultural activities happening around you during your visit to the city.
The main aim behind organizing this event is to promote music as well as other forms of art forms like dance or drama etc., through which people can get connected with each other across boundaries while having fun at once!
The Kohima Arts and Cultural Festival is a three-day event that takes place in the month of November. The festival provides an opportunity for people to come together and celebrate their love for arts, literature, music and dance. The Kohima Circuit and Road Racing Festival is a motorsport event in Kohima, India. It is held annually in the month of November. The festival features 10-lap races on the closed circuit around Kohima Municipal stadium.
The purpose behind organizing this festival is to promote road safety as well as encourage people to follow rules while driving on roads and also provide them an opportunity to test their skills against others who are competing with them for best time or distance covered etc..
