Howrah Bridge is one of the oldest bridges in Kolkata, and it's also one of the most famous. Built in 1859 by James Bennett, this bridge was designed as a cantilever bridge. This means that it was built using steel cables attached at each end so they could support themselves when there were no other supports underneath them.
Howrah Bridge crosses over Hooghly River (also known as Bhagirathi) and links Howrah with Kolkata via National Highway No. 19(which used to be called Grand Trunk Road).
The Victoria Memorial is a memorial built to commemorate Queen Victoria. It was built in 1887 and is located at the junction of Park Street and Shakespeare Sarani.
The memorial's massive structure is made up of several parts, including an ornate dome which contains statues representing each British monarch from George III to Elizabeth II.

Chakraberia Park and Zoo is a park and zoo located in the heart of Kolkata, India. It is one of the oldest parks in the city and was originally known as the Garden of Eden.
This public gardens were created by Lord Cornwallis, who was an English military officer and politician who served as Viceroy of India from 1784 to 1786 under George III as governor-general. He was also made Governor-General of Bengal (1785–1787) after being appointed Commander-in-Chief at Madras (now Chennai). The gardens were designed by Robert Adam who had previously built Marble Hill House near Paddington Green in London.[1]
Chakraberia Park covers an area of approximately 5 acres with fountains, waterfalls, lakes etc., artificial hills with cliffs overlooking them on all sides except one side where there are no cliffs but instead layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon layers upon more layers stacked up like pancakes so high up they look like clouds floating above our heads!
Howrah Bridge is a suspension bridge over the Hoogly River in Howrah, India. It was built in 1887 and is the oldest surviving suspension bridge in India.
The bridge was built by George Tyler, who also designed bridges such as Victoria Falls Bridge (1872), Niagara Falls Suspension Bridge (1885) and Wilson's Arch at Lincoln Cathedral (1896).
The steel structure of this bridge consists of two main spans each consisting of three towers with piers at either end connected by cable stays through shear keys made from iron rods bent in half lengthwise and welded together at right angles on both sides. These shear keys support the weight of each tower above its center point which acts like an axle upon them preventing them from twisting or breaking under stress while they are being used as supports for lifting trains over rail tracks below.[2]
Howrah Maidan is a large open space in the heart of Kolkata. It’s an ideal place for people to gather and relax, as well as play sports. The ground is divided into two sections: one for cricket and another for football matches.
The maidan also has an electric train that takes you from your hotel or residence to the venue without having to get on any other mode of transport besides walking where you can enjoy beautiful sights like those seen at Baghajatin Park or National Botanical Garden respectively!

Howrah Station, Sealdah and Salt Lake Railway stations are major railway stations in Kolkata. All three stations are located on the Howrah–Gaya line of the Indian Railways and are connected by the longest metro rail network in Asia. The distance between these three stations is around 20 km apart from each other.
