Rock Fort Temple

Rock Fort Temple is located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.

The temple is dedicated to Lord Murugan (the son of Shiva and Parvathi), and was built by Raja Raja Chola I during 1010-1050 AD. The city of Tiruchirapalli has many monuments that date back to this time period including Rock Fort Temple as well as Srirangam Island which forms the Srirangam Temple itself.

The Rock Fort Temple has been praised as one of the most beautiful temples built during its time period due to its architecture being based off Dravidian style of building which was popularized by Pallava kings in south India between 7th century BC until 10th century AD when Normans invaded their lands during 11th century AD; however unlike other temples constructed at this point in history these two edifices survived intact even though they were destroyed several times throughout history due to natural disasters such as earthquakes or floods occurring near them over time periods ranging from 2 centuries up until today where we see them standing tall once again!

Jambukeshwara Temple

Jambukeshwara Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Shiva. The temple is located in the town of Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. The temple was built around 1,800 years ago by Kocengannan, one of the early Cholas. It has three sub-shrines within it: (1) Pancha Bootha Sundeswarar Temple; (2) Jagannatha Temple; and (3) Valavanmahal Temple.

Mukkombu

Puliyancholai Falls

Puliyancholai Falls is a waterfall located in the Pudur, Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu. The waterfall is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Trichy and also serves as an important landmark for drivers passing through this area.

The Puliyancholai Falls are located on the East Bank of River Cauvery and are one of its tributaries that has created an artificial lake called Kallanai Dam (also known as Kaveri Dam). This dam was built by Maravarman Kulasekara Pandian around 350 years ago to divert water from River Kaveri so that it could be used for irrigation purposes during periods when there was not enough rainfall throughout Tamil Nadu due to climate change occurring over time due to global warming which caused higher temperatures globally causing drought conditions all around India including parts like Chennai where we live now!

Kallanai Dam is a dam in the Kallanai village, near Kumbakonam in Thanjavur district of Tamil Nadu. The dam has a height of 37 meters and a length of 220 meters. It is built on the Kaveri River and it was constructed by king Karikala Cholan in the 2nd century AD. This dam was renovated during British period as well as after Independence when many new lakes were created around it due to flooding during monsoons but they all died out due to lack of proper maintenance or care by authorities over time

Kudumianmalai Temple

Kudumianmalai Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is located in Kudumianmalai, a village in Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu. The temple was built by Kundavai Nachiyar, the sister of Cholas King Raja Raja I during the 10th and 11th century.

It is on the National Highway 226 between Tiruchi and Madurai. It has been declared as a protected monument under Section-5(A) of Ancient Monuments Act (AMRAD).

Thiruvanaikaval Temple

The Thiruvanaikaval Temple is located in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu and dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It was built in the 10th century and is also known as Rockfort Temple. The temple has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004 because of its historical significance, architecture, sculptures and paintings.

Uthamapalayam Amman Temple

Uthamapalayam Amman Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. It is located in Uthamapalayam, a suburb of Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. The temple is located on the banks of the Cauvery River and has become an important pilgrimage centre for Hindus across South India since ancient times.[1]

The shrine is classified as one of 275 Paadal Petra Sthalams (Siva temples), where Shiva has been praised in verses by Nayanar saints like Appar, Sundarar and Thirumangai Alvar.[2][3] According to legends,[4][5] this place was known as "Kurinji Kunigal" during Sangam period[6], when Kannagi grew up here with her husband Vira Pandya and father-in-law Sivakami who stayed here for sometime before leaving for Kaveripoompattinam.[7]

Uthamar Kovil or Periyakulam Kovil which means “Temple near the sea” comes under Divya Desams meaning holy sites dedicated to Vishnu & Maheshwaran temples respectively.[8]. This beautiful structure was built during Chola Dynasty by Karikala Chola I around 850 AD with contributions from all over Tamil Nadu including Thanjavur district villages near by sungaiyur(near hyderabad).[9][10]
