Manali is a beautiful town located in the state of Himachal Pradesh in India. Known for its scenic beauty, Manali has been attracting tourists from all over the world for decades now. Manali is surrounded by snow-capped mountains, lush green forests and sparkling rivers. It’s a place of natural beauty that is to be savored and cherished. The views are breathtaking and can be seen from every direction in this town that lies at an elevation of 11,600 feet above sea level.

Solang Valley

Solang Valley is a popular tourist spot for skiing, paragliding, and zorbing. This valley lies 13 km from Manali and has an altitude of about 4100 meters above sea level. The valley has been declared as one of the best places to visit in Himachal Pradesh by Lonely Planet Travel Guide.

Solang Valley is located at an elevation of 4100 m (13,460 ft), offering stunning views of snow-covered mountains in early winter when it is covered with snow for miles around its base. It can be reached from Manali via Solang Pass or by taking a taxi from Chandigarh into Solang village which is just 10 kilometers away from Solang Valley itself

Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass: A must-visit place in Manali, Rohtang Pass is a high-altitude mountain pass that connects Kullu Valley with Lahaul and Spiti Valleys. The pass offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and is covered with snow almost throughout the year.

There are several places to visit here including Chilling Point, which has an excellent view of the Pangi valley and also provides you with a great opportunity to buy local crafts from different villages around it (you can even go for camel rides). If you want to stay longer than one day then we recommend staying at Hotel Malana Resort located on top of Rohtung La which gives access to some amazing trails for hiking or skiing during winter months when temperatures drop down below zero degrees Celsius!

Manali Sanctuary

Manali Sanctuary: For nature lovers, Manali Sanctuary is a paradise. The sanctuary is home to several rare species of flora and fauna and offers an opportunity to witness the beauty of nature up close.

The sanctuary hosts many rare animals like the black-throated gray hornbill, Himalayan serow (Capricornis sumatraensis), blue sheep (Ovis mamillaris) and snow leopard (Panthera uncia).

In addition to these species, you can also see some other endangered animals like markhor (Capra falconeri), wild oxen or gaur(Bos gaurus) or even blackbucks(Antilope cervicapra) in their natural habitat!

Tibetan Monasteries

Tibetan Monasteries:

Manali is home to several Tibetan monasteries like the Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa, which offer a glimpse into the rich Tibetan culture and heritage. The monastery was built around 1625 by Lama Shri Kutsang Gyatso, an important lama of Tibet who taught at this temple for many years before passing away in 1683 AD. It is one of my favorite places in all India to visit because it has such tranquil atmosphere that you feel like you're on another planet yourself!

Great Himalayan National Park

The Great Himalayan National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site and home to several endangered species of flora and fauna, making it a haven for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.

The park is home to around 500 animal species, including snow leopards, ibexes and serows. There are also three species of tiger in the park which have been reintroduced by WWF India.

The Manali-Leh Highway passes through this area so you can easily access it from anywhere in Himachal Pradesh or Uttarakhand state if you're visiting either one of those neighbouring states on your trip!

Local cuisine

You can also enjoy local cuisine at several restaurants and cafes in Manali, which include dishes like Dham, Thukpa, and Trout fish. Foodies can indulge in these mouth-watering delicacies at several restaurants and cafes in the town.

The hot springs are a popular attraction in Manali. Located in Vashisht, the hot springs are a perfect way to unwind and relax after a long day of sightseeing. The best time to visit these hot springs is during monsoon season when there is less crowd and you can enjoy them without having to worry about getting wet by rainwater that falls from above.

Naggar Castle

Naggar Castle is a beautiful historical monument that offers a glimpse into the rich history and culture of the region. The castle was built-in the 16th century, during the reign of Maharaja Ram Singh of Jaipur. It's located about 15 km from Manali town at an altitude of 1150 meters above sea level.

The castle has been named after Kalyan Singh, who was known as one of its most famous kings because he ruled over many territories throughout northern India including Kashmir and Ladakh (present day Jammu & Kashmir). The architecture inside this complex consists mainly of mud walls with wooden beams tied together using rope ladders or vine leaves for support; however there are also stone structures such as towers which were added later on during different periods due to wars with neighboring kingdoms like Himachal Pradesh so they wouldn't suffer any damage whenever invaders came knocking!

Parvati Valley

Parvati River originates from the glaciers of Garhwal Himalayas and flows through this valley with its four tributaries: Bhagirathi, Alaknanda, Mandakini and Sindhu rivers. It has an annual flow of about 50 million cubic feet of water per second during monsoons (July-September). The entire length of this river forms an artificial lake called as Baspa Lake that covers an area of about 2 sq km with an average depth of 10 meters at its deepest point near Chandrila village in Solan district on NH 801A highway connecting Jaipur to Pathankot via Guler town situated on Chamba Road via Chhota Shimla Road
