Explore Nameri National Park

Nameri National Park is a protected area in the Indian state of Assam. It is located in the Tezpur district of Assam, Near Railway Station of Tezpur. The park covers an area of about 65 km2 (25 sq mi) and was established in 1976 as a wildlife sanctuary for protection against poaching and habitat destruction by humans.

The park has many different types of flora and fauna including over 40 species of birds, more than 2,000 types of orchids, mammals such as leopard cats and wild elephants etc., reptiles such as monitor lizards etc., almost 300 species of trees like teakwood trees which are used for making furniture here too! Visit Mahabhairav Temple

The Mahabhairav Temple is located in Chhoti Sadri, a small town near Tezpur. The temple was built by King Nara Narayan Dev during the reign of Bhupatindra Malla. It houses an idol of Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati.
