Daman Festival is a week-long cultural extravaganza featuring music, dance and local cuisine. The festival is held in February, March and April.
Daman & Diu Tourism Board organises this annual event which attracts tourists from all across India as well as abroad to experience the rich heritage of the region.
During the festival, there are a number of events held at different venues across the city. These include performances by local artists as well as dance troupes from other parts of India. The festival also includes a number of competitions such as song writing, poetry reading, painting and sketching.
The Diu International Jazz Festival is a two-day festival showcasing jazz artists from around the world. The festival celebrates the rich heritage of Indian classical music and its fusion with other genres. It features concerts, workshops and talks on music history, while also showcasing some of India’s best musicians.
The one day programme includes performances by musicians from all over India including Bombay Blues (a folk band), Sitar maestro Pandit Pran Nath & Ustad Shujaat Khan's duo, saxophonist Anwar Parvez and many more!

Diwali is celebrated on the fifth day after new moon day in Hindu calendar month Kartik. The festival commemorates a victory over evil forces, demon kings and their armies by Lord Rama's brother Lakshmana who shot an arrow straight into their hearts leaving them dead on the battlefields when they were attacking Lord Rama during his exile away from Ayodhya kingdom along with his wife Sita Devi; who were living peacefully under forest cover near Panchavati River at that time according to legend.

Anywhere in Daman or Diu you can find many beautiful churches decorated with lights and flowers all over the town. You can also visit various places like Church Stalls (also known as Ginger Bazaar), Pubs & Restaurants etc., which have been decorated beautifully for this occasion.
Holi is a festival of colors celebrated with water and colors. It is also known as the Festival of Colors, which happens in March or April. The word ‘Holi’ means “to unite” in Hindi. The main purpose behind this festival is to bring people together by bringing them together through fun and joyfulness.
The story behind it goes like this: In olden times, Lord Krishna was born on Holi day (this year it will be celebrated on 20th February), his mother Yashoda had saved him from being killed by King Kamsa when she hid him in her house after he was born so that no one could find out about him until he grew up into an adult man who could protect himself from harm's way; thus giving him time to escape from being killed by Kamsa's men when they came looking for him just because his father Devaki had been warned by an astrologer about an impending danger coming his way due to which Devaki decided not let anyone know about Krishna's existence at all - except for Anjali who was married off before leaving home but still lived there with her husband Narad Muni because she wanted everyone around her happy instead staying alone without anyone else around them enjoying themselves while having fun together..
Nariyal Poornima is a unique festival where coconuts are offered to the sea as a thanksgiving gesture. The festival is celebrated in the month of January and it also known as the Festival of Coconuts.
The word “nariyal” means coconut tree or coconut leaf, while poornima means full moon day or new moon day, depending on whether it falls on January 31st or February 28th respectively.
The International Kite Festival is a vibrant and colorful festival celebrated in the month of January. It celebrates the kite flying culture of Daman and Diu.
The festival has been organized by Daman & Diu Tourism Development Corporation since 1999 to promote tourism in these areas. The event includes a parade, mock battle between teams dressed up as knights and princesses, food stalls selling snacks like samosas and popcorns etc., live music performances by local bands etc., exhibitions on different subjects related to kite flying such as history of kites (how they were used thousands of years ago), techniques used for making beautiful designs on them etc., various games like tug-of-war between two teams made up out of participants dressed up as kings/queens wearing crowns or helmets!
Festa De Diu is a 75-day long festival featuring music, entertainment and adventure activities. It has been organized by the Diu District Tourism Development Authority (DTDA) to promote tourism in Diu district. The festival will be held from November 1st to December 30th 2019 at various locations across Daman & Diu like Bicholim Fort and Vagator Beach Resort etc.
The festival aims at increasing awareness about the importance of preserving our heritage sites while also providing an opportunity for people from all walks of life to come together and celebrate our rich culture through traditional dance forms such as Mohiniyattam, Kathakali etc., which are unique features of Indian culture; thus creating an atmosphere where visitors can enjoy themselves without having any inhibitions about being different from each other as well as enjoying their stay here with family members or friends!
Daman Food Festival
A culinary delight showcasing local food and drinks. This is a great opportunity for you to enjoy authentic Daman cuisine at an affordable price, with a variety of dishes from different parts of Daman, including seafood and other sea-food delicacies. With over 100 stalls on display, it's also a good chance for you to try out new recipes!

The Feast of Our Lady of the Sea is a religious festival celebrated with a procession and feasting. It is held on the night of June 3rd at the sea shore, where people gather to pray for their loved ones who have passed away. The festival also provides an opportunity for pilgrims to visit various places such as churches, shrines and temples in Daman and Diu.
The feast day coincides with the feast day of Our Lady Assumed into Heaven (July 15th), which is also known as "Santa Maria Assunta".
Summer Beach Festival is a three-day event featuring beach sports, music and food. The festival is held at the Sogat Beach Resort and it takes place from June 23 to 25th this year. The venue offers fun activities like water sports like jet skiing, parasailing and boating along with beach volleyball tournaments. There will also be live music performances by dance groups like Bollywood Dance Crew & Bollywood Dance Masters in the evening hours on Friday night while Saturday will host more than 20 live acts including electronic duo Arjun Rave & DJ Vogue who will be playing songs from their latest album ‘Mumbai Sessions’ as well as other popular Hindi songs from yesteryear such as “Aaj Ka Shola Kya Hai” sung by Lata Mangeshkar & Mohammad Rafi respectively!
The main attraction though has been announced for Sunday where we expect over 20 artists performing across various genres including hip hop/rap artiste MC Dhanda who will be taking over this stage along with Tk Ronee (also known as Deepak Ronee), one half of duo I'm With Him which comprises him along with singer TM Mahadevan; Bollywood playback singer Anu Malik; Sonu Nigam known best worldwide due to his voice roles in Sufi drama serial "Neeli Chhatri" which airs every Friday night on Colors TV channel here in India etc..
The Bonderam Festival is held in the month of January, and celebrated for 75 days. It is a traditional festival celebrated with a parade and mock battle. The celebration celebrates the victory of the Portuguese over the Marathas at Jambudweep in 1664.
The feast of Our Lady of the Sea is celebrated in Daman, Diu and other parts of India as well. It is also known as “Santa Maria Assunta” or “Nirmali-Ratri". The Portuguese introduced this festival to Goa after they captured it from the Sultanate of Bijapur in 1510This celebration is also a tribute to the men who fought bravely in the battle.
