The Konark Festival is a festival of Konark, Odisha. It is held in the month of June and July. The festival has been held since 1978 and has become one of the largest festivals in India today.
The main attraction at this event is that it showcases some rare ancient sculptures from Konarak Temple which were made between 1100–1500 AD by temple artists who lived here during that time period when they were working on these pieces using traditional tools such as chisel-like objects made out of stone called “chilam” or “kalash” while carving them into beautiful works representing Hindu gods Vishnu, Shiva etc., thus making them both artistic masterpieces as well as pieces with religious significance since they depict deities found within Hindu mythology!
The boat race is held every year on the full moon day of Ashoura. The event was started in 1996, when a team of 25 students from Konark Gramin Vikas Mahavidyalaya won first position in the competition.
The race begins at 9:00am with the registration ceremony at 8:30am and ends at 4:00pm with prize distribution ceremony around 5:30pm. There are three categories for participants; junior (under 21 years), normal and senior level wherein senior level has a maximum weight capacity of 35 kgs per person as compared to normal level which has a maximum weight capacity of 30kgs per person.
The winners receive cash prizes ranging from Rs 50K to 1Lakh depending upon their performance during the event

Kala Puja (also referred to as Maha Kala Puja) is a Hindu festival celebrated on the full moon day of Kartik. It is observed throughout India, especially in the states of Odisha and Bengal. Kala Puja commemorates Lord Narasimha's victory over Hiranyakashipu when he was about to kill his son Prahlada for worshipping Vishnu out of fear that if he did not kill him, then he would be cursed by Brahmanas forever.
The festival begins with early morning rituals performed by temple priests called Brahmanas who chant hymns praising Lord Vishnu before offering prayers at various shrines across Konark town including those dedicated to Ganesha and Hanuman
Konark Festival is a festival that celebrates the culture and heritage of the city of Konarak. It is held in June every year, over three days with cultural, religious and social activities for all ages.

Konark Beach Festival is a popular annual festival in Konark, Odisha. It is held on the beach of Konark and celebrates the river and sea. This cultural festival will be celebrated from 12th to 16th June 2019 at various places like Subarna Sthalam, Puri Fort etc., where people from across India gather together to enjoy music programs as well as dance performances by artistes from all over India including Bhajan singers & musicians who come here for this occasion.
The main objective behind organizing such an event is to promote harmony among people by promoting unity among them through various activities like painting paintings etc., which include competitions too!
Konark International Folk Arts Festival is a three-day cultural festival. The festival showcases the traditional dance and music of Odisha, India. It also includes folk art exhibits and workshops on different aspects of folk culture.
The event was started in 2007 by a group of people who wanted to promote their own heritage as well as encourage others to learn more about traditional arts.
In 2008, it became an official government recognition which led to increased participation from tourists and locals alike who were interested in visiting this beautiful place where nature meets civilization!
Rath Yatra is a Hindu festival that celebrates Lord Jagannath and his sister, Subhadra. It's also known as the Bali Jatra or Balipratipada ("the two-day fiesta", after its two days of celebration).
The Rath Yatra takes place in Puri, Odisha during mid-July every year. The festival lasts for twenty-four hours and involves huge processions of devotees carrying images of lord Jagannath with all their paraphernalia on chariots or palanquins through the streets to an enclosure called Srimandir where he stays for fourteen days before returning back to Kashi Viswanath Mandir (Siva Temple) after completing festivities at Puri Beach
