The Grand Chandigarh Open Air Cinema (GCOAC) is a film festival that is held in the city of Chandigarh. It was founded by Rituparna Chatterjee, an actress, who wanted to create an opportunity for filmmakers and film lovers to come together and showcase their work on screen. The GCOAC has been running successfully since 2012, with its first edition attracting over 30,000 attendees from across India and abroad.
The festival has grown from strength to strength ever since it started out as an annual event; this year's edition saw more than 100 films being screened over three days at various venues around town including The Leela Royal Hotel & Convention Centre (LRHC) which seats 1,500 people comfortably!
The World Heritage Festival is a cultural festival that takes place in Chandigarh every year. It is a celebration of the city's rich culture and heritage, which includes music, dance and crafts.
The festival starts with an opening ceremony on the first day where artists perform live on stage followed by an exhibition space showcasing artwork created by local artisans. On the second day there are various competitions where participants can showcase their skills or create something unique using a variety of materials including woodwork or metalworking. On the third day there will be talks from experts who will share insights into different aspects related to this event such as architecture or history etc.,
The festival aims to promote and preserve the rich heritage of American Indian arts and crafts, as well as the history behind them. The theme for this year's festival is "Ancient Indian Culture," so expect some traditional performances such as dance performances by students from a local school group or community center; tribal dances from different regions like Punjab (Haryana), Gujarat (Gujarat), Rajasthan etc.; folk music performances by local bands/artists who specialize in traditional forms such as bhangra or giddha; live music concerts featuring popular singers like Arijit Singh etc., poetry readings by young poets displaying their talent through original compositions inspired by classical works written centuries ago; storytelling sessions led by university professors teaching children how they can become better writers themselves someday."
The Animal Welfare and Equality Society of India (AWESI) chicken show is an annual event held at the Sawai Man Singh International Airport.
The show was started in 2015 by the Animal Welfare and Equality Society of India (AWESI), a registered trust that aims to promote animal welfare through education and awareness. Amritsar Dilli Darbar Mela is held every year in the month of April. The festival is a celebration of the Sikh religion and has been held since 1804. The festival brings together people from all walks of life, including politicians, businessmen and religious leaders to participate in activities such as cultural performances and exhibitions.
Khalsa Day is a public holiday in Chandigarh, Punjab. It is celebrated on the tenth day of the lunar month of Vaisakhi and marks the birthday of Guru Gobind Singh. A large number of people gather at Harmandir Sahib to celebrate this festival by performing religious rituals such as Gyan Prakash (reciting scriptures), Kirpan Kora (walking around with sword), Chhath Puja etc.
Khalsa Day celebrations begin with morning prayers at local gurdwaras before proceeding to attend langar (free meal) hosted by Sikhs across different locations across India. After having their meals shared with fellow travelers by volunteers who organize these events, they also visit Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Gurudwara where they take part in various activities like playing games or singing hymns dedicated towards beloved saints including Guru Gobind Singh Ji's father Mardana Alias Bhai Mani Singh Ji who was also known as Mardana Bakhsh Pageant which includes dance performances highlighting life stories about famous figures from past generations including Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s disciple Bhai Lehna Deva
Jallianwala Bagh is a public park in the city of Chandigarh, India. It is one of the most visited tourist attractions of the city.
The park was built in memory of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, which took place on April 13, 1919 when thousands of people were killed after British troops opened fire on them during an anti-British protest march against their military presence in Punjab province.
