The Sanghi Bridge

The Sanghi Bridge is a beautiful bridge. It's one of the most popular tourist destinations in Khandwa and you should definitely go here if you're visiting this area.

This bridge has been constructed by British engineers during the 19th century, but it was destroyed by floods in 1860 and rebuilt later on. The new bridge was named after Colonel Jankoji Singh Sangha (1827-1868), who had started construction work on this project during his lifetime.

Khandwa, the city of Khandwa is one of the oldest cities in India and it was founded in 1155 A.D. by Parmar Rajputs who are known as “Parmar” or “Pratiharas”. The city has a lot to offer for tourists, such as beautiful temples, palaces and forts built by different dynasties over time. One can also explore various places around this ancient city by visiting dargas like “Darga Sambhaji Maharaj” located on outskirts of Khandwa which dates back to 13th century AD when Shivaji Maharaj ruled this region before moving forward towards Deccan plateau during his reign at Raigad Fort after defeating Bijapur Sultanate during Battle Of Panipat (1526).

The Silver Fort

The history of this place dates back to 1756 when it was first established by Captain Robert Barton who then became its Governor-General until 1806 when he handed over his post to Colonel Hardy with whom he had fought during battles against Tipu Sultan’s army near Seringapatam (now known as Srirangapatna). Khandwa Museum

Shivaji's Tomb

Shivaji's Tomb is a famous tourist attraction located in the city of Khandwa. It is also known as Shivaji’s Mausoleum or The Last Pillar of India and it was built by Raja Man Singh II of Amber Fort who was appointed by his father, Sambhaji Bhosle to be his successor in 1676 AD.

The Tomb is situated on top of a hillock with an area measuring around 100 acres (40 ha). The tomb has been built using red sandstone bricks and lime mortar made from cow dung mixed with water which gives it its unique look.

It has been declared as World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1991 due to its architectural brilliance that includes elements such as sculptures, carvings and paintings depicting stories from Ramayana & Mahabharata etc., making this place one among few such sites where you can see both Hindu & Muslim artworks together under one roof!

Swami Vivekanand's Samadhi

Garudeshwar Temple

Garudeshwar Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the deity Garuda. It is located in the town of Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh, India.

The temple was built by Surya Vanshan and Prithviraj Chauhan as part of their efforts to establish control over Malwa region during 14th century.

The temple has five entrances: two on each side of the main entranceway and one on top level near ceiling. Four sculptures depicting gods and goddesses can be seen here; these include Nandi bull (Lord Vishnu), Saraswati (Goddess Lakshmi), Vaishya (Surya) and Kshetrapala (Shiva).
