Surathkal is a beautiful coastal town in Karnataka and is popular for its beaches, temples and lake. It's a great place to spend a day on your own or with friends and family. You can enjoy the best of Surathkal by visiting some of my favorite places:

Take a low-cost guided tour of the historic Sadashiva Temple

The temple is a popular tourist attraction, and can be easily accessed by taking a bus or auto to the nearby bus station. The temple was built in the early 16th century by Sadashiva Temple, which is considered to be one of the oldest temples in India. Located at a height of 629 feet above sea level, it attracts thousands of tourists every year who come here to worship Lord Shiva. The deity at this temple has been praised as being one among three most beautiful Hindu temples built during that period (along with Hosur and Thanjavur).

The entrance fee for visiting this historic monument costs around Rs 50 per person; however if you want an exclusive experience then you will have to pay about Rs 5000 for half-day tour or Rs 10000 for full day tour if booked well in advance!

Visit the Sri Venkataramana Temple in Mangalore on a budget

Sri Venkataramana Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Located in Surathkal, it is one of the largest and most famous temples in Karnataka state. It was built by a member of the royal family of Vijayanagara Empire named Jayaprakashavarma (who ruled from 1412–1429 CE), who wanted to build a grandiose temple for his family deity. The original structure was built between 1425-1435 CE but was destroyed during an invasion by Muhammad bin Tughlaq in 1430 AD.

The present day temple has been renovated by government authorities after being damaged during an earthquake on August 19th 2005; it reopened later that year as construction work had not yet been completed due to lack of funds due to economic problems faced by many countries worldwide during this period

Take a budget-friendly boat ride along the Netravathi River

Surathkal is located in the Kannada-speaking region of Karnataka, which has a population of approximately 8 million people. It's an important tourist destination for its beautiful beaches and numerous water sports businesses.

You can reach Surathkal by train or bus from Bangalore (approximately one hour). Once you're there, you'll want to rent a boat from one of the many piers along the riverbank. There are many options here—from cheap fishing boats for about $25 USD per day up through luxury yachts for over $5000 USD per day! Whatever your budget allows will work fine; just make sure that whatever boat you choose has enough space for all passengers plus gear (life jackets etc). The trip takes about an hour or so depending on how fast your boat goes since they travel at 5 knots maximum speed compared with 2 knots when going upstream against current flow direction."

Visit the nearby Udupi Krishna Temple on a budget

Surathkal is a popular tourist destination, and the Udupi Krishna Temple is one of the most celebrated attractions. The temple is open daily from 6 am to 11 pm. It can be reached by train or bus from Bangalore or Mangalore.

The Udupi Krishna Temple enjoys a rich history dating back to 8th century CE when it was built by King Dannayakavu Pampa (also known as Baddegulara). This ancient temple has undergone many renovations over time, but still retains its original architecture and structure with added modern elements incorporated into its design like gopurams (gateways) and vimanams (temples).

Visitors can enjoy their visit at this beautiful place without spending too much money on accommodation since they have plenty hotels nearby which offer reasonable rates while providing quality service without any compromise on comfort level

Surathkal Park is a great place to spend time with family and friends. The park has a variety of activities such as boating, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. You can also try out the zip line at the amusement park or explore the jungle trails. It is a perfect spot for relaxation with your loved ones as well as children who will enjoy playing in the play area or enjoying themselves on one of many rides available inside this complex.

The best thing about visiting Surathkal Park is that there are plenty of facilities available for kids — including entertainment zones (like indoor playgrounds) where they can play while parents relax or enjoy some food at one of their Surathkal restaurants!
