Lamb's Rock viewpoint is a great place to visit and enjoy a picnic or leisurely stroll. It’s located on the banks of the River Pambar, near Coonoor town. The rock was named after Colonel George Augustus Raine who built this house in 1827.
It was built at a location where there are several other large rocks within close proximity: Gowla Rock, also known as 'Big Rock'; The Meagre Man; and Beechy Rock.

The Sim's Park bird sanctuary is a popular spot for bird watchers and nature lovers. It's located on the outskirts of Coonoor, near the town’s famous temple. The sanctuary was founded by Mr. Sim in 1962 and has been home to many species of birds ever since.
The sanctuary covers an area of 8 hectares (20 acres) with more than 100 species of birds that can be seen here; include: dove, pigeon and peacock among others!
