You can either go for a city tour and visit all the famous tourist places or just see them at night time when they look gorgeous with all their lights and decorations on display. If you want to see some more of Kodaikanal further away from town then consider taking an overnight trip by train or bus so that you can enjoy your trip even more than if it were just another day-trip!
