Surathkal is a city located in the Indian state of Kerala. Surathkal is located on the banks of river Pampa, which forms part of the border between Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The town has a population of around 50,000 people and its economy depends on coconut cultivation, fishing and tourism.
The Surathkal Summer Festival is held once a year in the month of June. The festival features many activities and entertainment events for adults, as well as children alike.
The Surathkal Summer Festival offers you a great opportunity to visit your hometown and enjoy some quality time with your family members. You can also see some traditional dance performances by local artists, or try out some new cuisine at one of the food stalls set up on this occasion!
The Surathkal Food Festival is a great opportunity to try new things and meet new people. It's also a great way to learn about new foods, cultures and heritage sites.
The festival starts on May 1st and runs until the end of June when it will be held at various locations around town including:
Surathkal Beach Volleyball Tournament (May 2nd)
Surathkal Photography Exhibition (May 17th - June 6th)
Heritage Walk through central Kerala's many ancient villages (June 14th - July 27th).
The Surathkal Beach Volleyball Tournament is an annual beach volleyball tournament held in Surathkal. The event has been organised since 2002 and attracts thousands of visitors from all over India every year.
This event is a fun event for all ages, especially for families who want to spend time together and introduce their children to sports activities that are not common in India yet. It also helps them learn about other cultures through this experience, which will make them more tolerant towards other people's cultures as well.
It is great opportunity for both young and old people alike: kids get excited about playing with friends while adults enjoy watching the games at the same time; it gives everyone something new to do while enjoying themselves! You never know what kind of adventures might happen or who might meet during these tournaments!
The Heritage Walk consists of several stops along its route where various aspects related with history can be explored through interactive exhibits set up by local volunteers/community groups/professionals etc., such as artifacts depicting ancient trade routes used by traders traveling between different parts across South India (then known as Madras Presidency), temples built centuries ago during British rule at different places around town before independence was achieved back then under Indian constitution
Surathkal Photography Exhibition is a photography exhibition that will be held in Surathkal. It is an important event, as it showcases the works of talented photographers from all over India. The event aims to showcase their talent and creativity, while also providing them with an opportunity to network with other photographers.
The venue for this year’s exhibition is at the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) building on Jeevanbhai Desai Road, which was inaugurated by former Chief Minister YSR Congress Party leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on December 7th 2018. There are three days worth of activities planned during this time:
December 15th - 16th – Live Painting Competition by artists from APTDC Institute of Arts & Crafts
December 17th – 18th – Live Painting Competition by artists from APTDC Institute of Arts & Crafts

Surathkal Heritage Walk is a free event, which is open to all. It is a family friendly event, cultural event and community based tourism initiative. This walk gives you an opportunity to learn about the history of Surathkal and its surrounding areas through various historical artifacts that were found during excavations in this area. You may also get to see some beautiful examples of traditional architecture that helped shape our culture as we know it today!
Kite festival is an exciting event that brings people together. It’s a fun and exciting activity that anyone can participate in. The kite festival is a family event, which encourages people to visit the location where it takes place, as well as bring their children along with them. It also attracts visitors from all over India who come to enjoy this cultural festival at its best.
Surathkal Yoga Day is a day to celebrate yoga. Yoga is a way of life. It’s a way of living and experiencing life in every aspect, from mind to body and spirit. The word “Yoga” is derived from the Sanskrit word “yuj” which means union.
Surathkal Art & Craft Fair - An annual event organized every year at Surathkal (Kannur) on 3rd February weekend by local artists, artisans, craftsmen etc., This fair gives opportunity to local people not only sell their products but also educate them about various aspects like art & craft etc., through seminars & workshops conducted during this festive season
The festival is held every year in the month of March. It is an annual celebration which attracts thousands of people from all over India and abroad. This festival celebrates the victory of good over evil, and celebrates nature's beauty through dance, music and song.
The Surya Kashi Festival or Surathkal Adventure Fest takes place at various locations around Surathkal town including Sri Ramanakrishna Mutt Street on 25th April every year when thousands of pilgrims visit this place to pray for their well being and prosperity by taking part in various activities like sporting events like marathon run or cycling competition etc., cultural programmes like folk dances etc., recreational facilities like fun Garden and parks etc., religious discourses given by renowned saints who have come here from faraway places like Karnataka state capital Bengaluru city etc..
The event includes many varieties such as kite flying competitions where aerialists fly kites up high into clouds while blindfolded participants try catching them down below using sticks instead of hands so that they don't loose track
The Surathkal Street Art Festival is a fun event for all ages. It is held in the heart of Surathkal and attracts people from all over the city, who come to enjoy their time at this festival.
The park where this event takes place has been beautifully decorated with lots of colorful lights and banners, making it look like an amusement park on wheels! Food stalls are set up along with rides such as swings and bumper cars, making sure that everyone has a great time while they enjoy themselves at this festival. In addition to these attractions there are carnival games such as ring tosses or cornhole where you can win prizes if you get lucky enough during your game!
The farmers market is a popular attraction in Surathkal. It is held on a regular basis and attracts a large crowd of people, who come to purchase their fresh produce from local farmers.
The Surathkal Art and Craft Fair is held in the month of February, March, April, May and June. It comes in July, August and September. Then it comes again in October after that it comes again in November.
The Surathkal Science Exhibition is an annual event organized by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of Karnataka. It is a fun and interactive science exhibition for kids, adults and teachers from all over India.
The aim of this exhibit is to promote scientific temper among people through hands-on activities like experiments, lectures by eminent scientists and researchers from various fields like biology, chemistry etc., demonstrations on basic sciences like physics & astronomy etc., quizzes related with science topics etc., debates on current topics related with science such as space exploration or global warming or ecology etc., competitions between schools/colleges based on their performance in various competitions held every year at national level like NEETs (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) examination conducted by Central Board Of Secondary Education (CBSE) & AIIMS medical entrance examinations conducted by All India Institute Medical Sciences administered by AICTE under Ministry Of Health And Family Welfare Govt Of India since 1963 till date which makes it world famous among other similar events held across countries around globe
